Latest News ... Has Been Picked Up By FX
FX has
placed a 13-episode order for a new drama
series Sons of Anarchy, starring
Charlie Hunnam and Katey Sagal, from The
Shield executive producer Kurt Sutter.
SONS OF ANARCHY
is an
adrenalized,
darkly humorous drama exploring a notorious
outlaw motorcycle
club’s intent on protecting their
simple, sheltered town of Charming, Calif.
from advancing drug dealers and local
corporate developers. It is also a family
saga seen through the eyes of Jax Teller
(Charlie Hunnam) whose love for the
brotherhood comes into direct conflict with
his growing apprehension regarding the
club's lawlessness. Katey Sagal stars as
his force-of-nature mother who, along with
the club's president, Jax's stepfather, has
her own ideas about the direction of the
Sons of Anarchy. Additional co-stars
include Drea DeMeteo and Maggie Siff.
Production is scheduled to begin in June and
the series slated to premiere on FX in
September.
Katey, Charlie Hunnam and
Scott Glenn have all signed on to star in
the upcoming FX drama Sons of Anarchy.
According to The Hollywood Reporter,
Allen Coulter is directing the project.
The series is a multigenerational family
drama that centers on a man in his late
twenties who must balance his personal life
with that of his life in the family founded
Anarchy motorcycle club. Katey is set to
play the mother and the matriarch of the
club. The role was originally written for
her by her husband Kurt Sutter. The
pilot does not have an airdate at this time.

episode is entitled
Patience.
Synopsis:
A vision of the future prompts
Eli to take the case of a prisoner who's
been denied parole-and happens to be a
former client of Keith's. Unfortunately, the
timing couldn't be worse because law firm
partner Marci Klein (guest star Katey Sagal)
is in town to investigate why the firm's
Fortune 500 clients are leaving in droves
(hint: it's Eli's fault), which could mean
the end of Jordan's reign as senior partner.
Katey's second episode, entitled Waiting
for That Day, aired on April 13.
Synopsis: Eli has a vision of himself
sitting in the back of a taxicab traveling
on the Golden Gate Bridge when suddenly the
earthquake hits. Unfortunately nobody
believes him until Dr. Chen tells him about
a scientist, Daniel Foote, who predicts the
same earthquake. With Foote's help, Eli sues
the city of San Francisco to get it to shut
down the Golden Gate Bridge before it's too
late. But he's opposed in court by W.P.K
senior partner, Marci Klein.
No Place Like Home
Katey recently filmed the new indie comedy "No Place Like Home" written and directed by Sam Harper and
produced by Wayne Rice. The film will get an immediate marketing push via its other producer, Jordan Hudgens, of the new video sharing
syndicate Vidshadow.com. While the film was being shot, Hudgens had a film crew on the set getting daily b-roll that was edited
into a weekly trailer for the film that can be viewed via his popular web portal Vidshadow.com. These clips will be available for
immediate public viewing to generate hype and will be used as a marketing component to help secure a studio to widely distribute the
film for theatrical release. No Place Like Home centers on a father who in order to enjoy his retirement takes drastic measures to get
his twenty-something, slacker sons to move out and fend for themselves.
Jack and the Beanstalk
Katey has finished filming this independent live action feature version of this classic tale. Katey plays the concerned mother
of 'Jack'. The live-action movie is directed by Gary J. Tunnicliffe from a script by Flip Kobler and Cindy Marcus, produced by
Avalon Family Films.
